06′Harley performance parts?
I have a 06' Harley Davidson Night Train with the 88 cubic inch and 5-speed trany, with only 2,834 miles on it. so far I installed a Thunder Header exhaust and a power commander and a after market air filter .I want to install some high performance parts in the engine (internal parts) what is the best cam to install in a 88 cubic inch Harley motor?
Harley sell 95", 103" and 110" kits for around $1200- $2300. You get heads , cam, etc. Never lighten the flywheel. Don’t polish the intake, swirl it. Harley are good performers, very torquey. Kyle knows nothing about bikes, in fact his mom won’t let him get one yet
Why weaken a good torquey flywheel? Why polish a EFI intake? You polish exhaust manifolds not intakes. The idea is to get the fuel into a mist, not a big drop.( which is what you get when you polish) When you swirl it you get smaller drops. As far as your friends, I can’t beleive you have any, unless they are as pathetic as you. Aint Polish a nationality?
Maybe you should buy some "performance earplugs" to go with that "performance exhaust." In fact, but a couple of sets for your neighbors, too.
if you wanna be able to pass emisions your gonna have to stick with screaming eagle which isnt really a cam.if you want real performance there are plenty of aftermarket cams out there just keep in mind you will have to swap out your cams every time you go to emisions. I would also have the heads put on a flow bench at a shop.get those heads to breath and you will make great power
Bore it out and shorten the stroke.
Lighten the flywheel and port and polish the intake manifold.

Change the internal gearing as well, stock is junk way too low.A Harley is a pretty poor performing machine, even the 30K Screaming eagle. Hell a Honda Civic can outrun one on the highway.
If you wanted performance you should of bought a sportbike. Don’t buy a granny cruiser.
Reddish-you take your intake "swirl" w/e the f*** that even is and stick it up you stupid ignorant old a**. Polish is a vague term.
Never lighten the flywheel? What are you stupid? You gain way more top end and response! Sure you need to buy a flywheel puller tool and adjust your valve timing and other adjustmetns. Tell that to the guys I race, everyone including me is running a shaved down flywheel/stator kits on our bikes.

Forget the answer about staying within epa standards, you’re already illegal with pipes, race tuner and air cleaner. You can’t just swap out a part here and there and get anywhere. We do a 95 inch upgrade on 88’s with head work, boring, pistons and rods, cams… honest 95 horse and 104 ftpds tourque (we have 2 dynos). Cost around 3800.

a cam must be matched with compression ratio, heads, etc., your money ahead to find a reputable builder and buy their 95" kit, which typically includes heads, cams, pistons, cylinders, etc, as a matched set. check out the links and then CALL these guys, pick their brains and then decide which one to go with, these are just a few that I know of, there are many many more..
