I've got a 1983 Harley Sportster, and the shop that screwed me blind had the carb so fouled up my pipes are blue. What will restore them?
I Have a set of Harley 45 rods that I dug out to sell. The part numbers are XA-705 and XA-706. Does that mean that these are for an XA or is that just a standard 45 part number ?
Like why cant Harley riders appreciate things like good engineering or technology and not just loud pipes and heavy ass chrome?
Yeah "grouse" I hear that all time, its the only comeback HD riders have in lieu of horrible specs. I have ridden them and yes I dont understand whats so great about a poorly handling machine thats slow and makes a lotta noise, and doesnt stand out from the crowd when you pull up at the spot.
i heard Jardine slash pipes are good for this bike in having a good low "rumble growl" that close to H D or is there another exhaust better at having a closer note to it? Thanks for any help.
i need access to oem harley davidson part numbers. does anyone know of a site that provides this info?

pulling up a grade at high speed it coughs not getting enough fuel even at idle every now and then does not sound right seems to have a puff puff sound.other than that bike runs great only 17k miles.should i go to a s and s carb or screaming eagle or just have this one rejetted?
I own a 2001 harley wide glyde and it was recently wrecked and i have about 0 to purchase a new exhaust. i was wondering if anyone knew what the loudest and deepest rumbling sounding exhaust was and about what it costs to tune your bike after getting the new exhaust. thanks for your answers...
It's for my Dad. He is looking to purchase online a Spring Compressing Tool Part. No. HD-38515A
Answers and links would be much appreciated!
Harley Davidson makes more money selling clothing, keychains and "officially licensed merchandise" than they do from selling bikes. Further, 99% of this merchandise is made in china, malaysia, and mexico. Even their bikes contain foreign parts from places like italy and china and are far less reliable or technologically advanced as other bikes. How am I, as a proud American, supposed to get excited about an "American" product, when it is far more inferior, way pricier, and less reliable than most other motorcycles out there and the company that builds it makes most of its money selling foreign fashion garbage? Doesn't spending my hard earned money on something like this just make me stupid?
I am thinking about buying a new motorcycle. I've been looking at Harley bikes and a few caught my eye. Im not an extremely tall (or big) guy and i was thinking of maybe going with the Sportster Low which has a lowered suspension so it would be easier for me to touch the ground. i also think the custom has the same lowered suspension. the new Sportster 1200N (Nightster) is actually the bike i like the most, but its a bit more expensive and im not sure if i could pay that much, but it also has the lower suspension and ground clearance. i am wondering with this lower ground clearance how likely i am to scrape the bottom of my bike around turns (especially if im doing curvy country road riding) i think the clearance is 3.9 inches? but im not positive on that. has anybody had experience with this? i should say that i could ride and touch the ground on the 'non-lowered' version of the sportster, but the bike is bigger and heavier than what im used to and dont want to drop the bike.

I have Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts that are all for models 2000 and later. Some of these parts are for Softails. There is everything from exhaust pipes to handlegrips. A great percentage of these parts have never been used, and all of them are exactly like new. For more information please contact www.myspace.com/davids_harley_parts2000 , and view the photo section.
i've seen tons of regular plain old iron 883's out there for sale but im looking to buy one with some minor custom work. im looking for something with drag bars for sure and not stock exhaust. but other than that stock or would it just be better for me to buy a new one and put those on myself i guess i'd rather just go the easy way.
I've got most off it off but there is one spot that is hard to remove. I've heard of using tar remover, gasoline, Easy Off. What do you think?
what do you say now?! still want to brag how great harley is? lol.
i have a rice burner. cost less, less maintenance, more power, customizable, etc. you can do most anything with them rice burners.
having trouble getting true duals for an 07 flstn. anyone else out there having a hard time?
yes, but not available right now. tried rhinehart, vance/hines. just impatient i guess....
I have a 2006 Harley Davidson flhpi and I am looking for a loud muscular sounding exhaust, hopefully something true duals. Since the bike is fuel injected I also need to buy a programmer. I was kind of thinking of running true duals with no mufflers and fishtail. Does anyone have any suggestions or websites I could look at.
