Can I use parts for 2003 model Harley Sportster 1200 on a 2004 Harley Sportster 1200?
While looking thru catalogs and on-line I noticed the model years go like this; 95-2003 then 2005-2007. 2004 is not usually listed. I am particularly interested in forward controls.
yup. some parts are interchangeable like forward controls. be advised tho that with forward controls, ur lean angle gets reduced somewhat and u will wind up scrapin the pegs sooner in the turns than i will with my standard mount pegs. u may or may not be able to mount them and have the engine guard also.
they almost make the handling slightly different in the twisties than the standards…it just feels different. i’ve ridden the same sportster…same year, only my bike doesnt have fowards, my bud’s does.

Yes Hogboy Some are enter changeable.
My book shows 1987-2003 are the same.Then it lists 2004-2007 using the same.I have checked several other references and they all show 04-07 so that’s what I would go with
