the victory most likely has more domestic parts since harleys are over 50% foreign.
Victory is a division of bombardier a french Canadian company that manufactures snowmobiles. I don’t know how you could find where any manufacturer gets their components, in today’s world economy it may change every year, they get them from anywhere that meets their specifications for the best price & can meet their delivery schedules
actually Victory is part of Polaris. a billion $ a year AMERICAN company headquartered in Minn.. Victory has the higher content but not by much. the bike with the most american content is the honda goldwing. most bikes anymore are world built with forks from japan, brakes from italy, ect……
Victory is a division of Polaris, not Bombardier. Honestly, i would say a new Harley and new Victory are pretty close, and could even vary from model to model on which one has more American content. Your best bet is to look it up model by model. The Goldwing is not more American than any Harley, because the profits, r&d, and overhead money all go to Japan.
Thats a closely guarded secret at harley as none of the die-hard HD tools want to believe that there Harley has parts from overseas. I have heard, however, that over 50% of the parts are foreign. Couldn’t tell you on the Victory though.
Interestingly, a number of Honda motorcycle models have more american parts than Harleys.
The company I work for makes a few of the parts that go on the Victory, and I work directly with R&D at Polaris and TEAM Ind. And they have Arlen Ness involved in custom design,
Being a Harley owner, it’s hard for me to say this, but the Victory has more domestic parts.
