Harley Davidson Dyna Glide Accessories?
I want to get my fiance's dad some really nice accessories for his bike, a Harley Dyna Glide. I don't know what to get him since I don't know much about bikes... Any Harley fans and owners out there, I would love your input, especially if you ride one yourself! Links would be great, and I'm looking to spend between 50-70 bucks! Thank you!
Cup holder.
Most riders already have the gear they need, want, and which fits.
Even gloves are expensive once they have the HD name on them.
If you manage to find something for the bike itself - watch out for the years they made major changes, like ‘06.
gift certificate. to a bike shop is good. but if you get it from the harley store well thats a nother story HD really means hundred dollars
The best thing to give him is a gift certificate at the local bike shop, I know its impersonal but he won’t think so, to walk into a shop and not have to pay is such a special feeling,…… good luck with that
There are lots of goodies you can get, But don’t think of the bike, think rider.
Gloves-full finger or fingerless are all ways welcome
Maybe a detail kit?- couple of shimmies, some tooth brushes and some semi-chrome,a can or bottle of wax?
Small things can make a big impression.
Want to hit it big ? throw in an offer to detail his bike. It may not sound like much but after you spend the time doing the job" especially if he has sixty spoke wheels like me"you’ll understand .
Don’t over look bandanna’s, or a leather harley hat,I have worn out three in the last twenty years.
What ever you decide to do you can’t go wrong….. That is as long as you keep his daughter happy.
Best of luck….. Personally I would go with the harley hat.
You can go to the Harley-Davidson web site and get some ideas. If you go the gift card route you can get a Harley gift card on line that’s good at just about all Harley dealers. The gloves idea others mentioned is a good one. You also may want to consider a Harley wallet with chain, or maybe a new pair of shades or goggles. A Harley belt, if you know his waist size or maybe a Harley belt buckle. Consider a subscription to American Iron Magazine.
If my daughter’s boyfriend was going to get me anything, I would want a pair of good riding gloves. Have your fiance make off with a pair he already has to you get close to the right size. I think a gift certificate is a little impersonal since you’re trying to leave an impression on the guy.
Try lron Pony Motorsports for great brand name discounted gear. I got a leather Icon jacket there last year for $100, and I have been a fan ever since.
Hi. Some ideas in your price range would include bags, or just a simple bar bag, Harley apparel, or grips perhaps. Another idea would be a cover for the bike. You’d need to get over $70 to consider most billet or chrome accessories, and something that can be easily added to the bike or removed if it’s not really what he wanted, makes the idea of bags, or a cover, interesting. Check out http://www.oncycles.com. Lots of products for the purpose, and if you want more input, call them and ask for Jenifer. Shes a great, helpful, friendly, pleasant person who will give you all the help you need.
Also, don’t know if he’s a smoker, but Zippo lighters with Harley Davidson logos and themes are great gift ideas. Here’s a selection of 30, but there are many more out there. http://www.lightershack.com/index.php?l=product_list&c=50
