Harley Davidson Exhaust?
I want to know why Harley Davidsons can be as LOUD as they want, but if a guy puts headers on his Camaro with a converter and full pipes, then you get pulled over for disturbing the peace? This happened to my brother before in his mustang. It seems to be a little unfair. If you going to make a lot of noise and disturb the peace, might as well be a good V8 rumble and not what i sound like when i eat pizza and pass gas.
They can’t. Maybe I should say "We can’t" to make you happy.
Don’t just pick on HDs. There are so many out there.
While Harleys may have been the major offenders in the past, today’s crowd is on Hondas and Yamahas (includes Star). Let’s not forget Victory, or any of the new, fad "choppers" while we’re at it.
What’s unfair is when the cops set up and pull over every bike.
You would never see them get away with pulling over every car.
And that’s almost as unfair as you blaming every noise on a Harley.
Obviously, you’re pretty clueless. A catalytic converter and full length pipes are enough to keep a Camaro from getting pulled over.
You would have to ask the local police department. It’s not Harley Davidson that make them loud, it’s the guy that own them that make them loud.
well actually Harley-Davidson riders do get noise pollution tickets in California, my husband being a Harley owner with loud Thunder headers
on his 06′ night train got one not to long ago…It just depends really on the officer that wants to be a jerk or what..
simple there arent that many loud cars so its not a lot of tickests to write. There are so many loud bikes that they would do nothing but write tickets if they went after them. so the solution is for more people to build loud hotrods!
