I have 1993 Yamaha Virago 535. What is the best custom exhaust for it to get the closest Harley note?
i heard Jardine slash pipes are good for this bike in having a good low "rumble growl" that close to H D or is there another exhaust better at having a closer note to it? Thanks for any help.
Harley’s sound is unique and you will never reproduce it with a Yammie 535. I think the 535 is a cool bike, worth of keeping box stock as an eventual collectors bike. No pipes.
cobra pipes seem to have the best rumble at ide on a yamaha i have a set on a 05 roadstar and are sick at idle. i have talked to guys about the pipes and many recomend for the older bikes….. good luck
Please don’t. Be happy with your bike and don’t try to make it something it isn’t.
I asked a question just last night why so many people are trying to make their foreign bikes copy a Harley, specially when they bash Harleys. Please don’t fall into that "copy-cat"category.
Just enjoy your bike for what it is….
I’m no pro but I don’t think anything is gonna make a 535 sound Harleyesque. :–)
I’ve heard a coworkers’ virago with Vance & Hines exhaust system. It’s loud and it pops, more than rumbles, due to the decrease in displacement of the v-twin engine. Loud bikes annoy most people and I suspect most people that ride loud bikes need it for thier ego.
Vance & Hines slide ons will help…however it is more about the stroke length and bore than what pipes you have. If you want a Harely Sound…buy a Harely.
Nothing man made can make a 535 sound like a Harley
