So my best friend and parents can't afford to throw my baby shower, so my boyfriends parents stepped in and are throwing it. I know they're doing it at a hall which is already going to cost them 400 dollars for the day or more, then all the decorations, food, and invitations... they're spending a lot of money on me. I want to show them how appreciative I am and get them something really nice for doing that for me. They like to do things out together, they both like motorcycles and harley davidson stuff (but theyve got a million clothes and accessories and stuff from them) they have 2 english mastiffs they love to death... so anyone have any creative ideas of what I could do for them? Sure I could take them out to dinner or something predictable like that, but I'm looking for something special and creative that will surprise them and show them gratitude. Thanks!

I've just been told that I wasted my money because I voided the warantee by putting on vance&heins exhausts. The Harley people themselves put them on telling me how much better the bike would sound! Well, they were right there but what about my warantee? I get too many mixed messages on this subject.
I have a job interview tomorrow to be a parts counter guy for a Harley Davidson dealership. I don't know much, just basic mechanical stuff. I do like Harleys of course. I'll replace my 84 Shadow with one when I get the money. What would be good to know before I go?
I'm on wikipedia reading about engines, model designations and families now.
I have a 2006 Harley Road King and it has stock duals. I want to keep the look of the duals but I want it to be louder. I don't want to wake the neighborhood but I want people to hear me when I'm on the throttle. What kind of pipes or slip-ons would fix both of these? I haven't ever changed pipes before is it something that I can do pretty easy or should i just shell out the money and pay the harley shop to do it?
i have a 2001 harley wide glyde and i have a bunch of money saved up to buy a new exhaust. i am looking for a great sounding exhaust that will give me great sound quality more than just being loud and obnoxious. i want something that rumbles and has a deep great sound.
3 serious questions, please don't pick a fight. THank you.
1. If 'safety' is really the reason for you guys to install your aftermarket loud pipes, why most of the Harley riders don't wear a DOT approved helmet but a weak, plastic Harley chopper helmet? I've seen so many Harley riders even ride with no helmets in some states, but of course they have the loudest pipes on this planet.
2. If safety is really heart of the issue, why most of you guys don't spend the money to go to a motorcycle defensive driving training? Hurts report says that 95% of the riders who involved in an accident has never received any formal motorcycle training.
3. If safety is really your first concern, why do you have to ride with a black leather jacket, not a bright color , reflective jackets, as most DMVs suggest? Do you care about style more, or safety more.
Anyone? Answers? Please, no fight.
I am from New Mexico and I need to know where I can start buying parts for a Harley. I dont have the money to buy one off the lot, so I decided to bulid my own. My dad and his buddys have been on me for a while to start putting one together, (thats how most of them got started back in the day) and I dont know where to find used parts,or even a non running bike to work with? everywhere I look all I can find is S&S, or some high dollar shiny crap, or new Harley parts. is there a type of swap meet on line or something. twice a year around here there is a bike week that you can buy stuff but I want to start looking now. Thanks for any advise. Im sick of staying home, or being the tail vehicle during runs.
