I have a '96 Sportster 883 and i wanted to change the speedometer so i ordered a cable driven mini speedometer online but, i didnt think to check if the stock speedo was cable driven, come to find out its not.
Is there any way i can still use the new speedo that i ordered?

i dont know a whole lot about motorcycles, i am the only one i know who owns one and i dont have money to take it to a shop. im pretty good with my hands and would prefer to work on my bike myself. i just need some direction.

i also found this adapter thing online but i'm not sure if buying this will do me any good, can someone help?
these are the links to the speedometer that i ordered and the adapter that i might(?) need to order...

I just bought a Harley Davidson Sportster and i love it but I cant seem to find too many places online that sell accessories for it. I am looking for some good websites that sell aftermarket parts and accessories. But what i am really looking for is side mirrors that stick out farther than the stock ones to see around me better. All i can really see is the side of the road and not behind me. Any help is appreciated, thanks
i dont care about the bad boy appearance if it means safety, i wont look to bad ass in a coffin, i need to be able to see behind me so use trumps appearance

i have a 01 road king. it has the factory dual exhaust. i am trying get the bike to sound louder. it has aftermarket mufflers now that are louder than stock but do not give the sound i would like. it seems that the bikes that do not have the dual exhaust are louder and actually sound better. of course the exact type of mufflers make a big difference, but i am refering to aftermarket stuff not stock. so is there any recommendations on a muffler type that would really boost my sound. also what if i was to change my pipes to both exit on the right side instead of duals. would that help or is it just my imagination that those systems are louder.

I got pulled over and received a ticket for "muffler exceeding noise limits" violation. My question is: why is ok for a freakin' Harley motorcycle to have an exhaust that shakes the neighborhood and not a passenger vehicle that has been modified just a little bit that is bearly louder than stock?

I want to deepen the sound at idle and louden the sound at excelleration. I don't care about having my king "bark" or louden it to obnoxious...but I do want it louder and a deeper rummble than stock.

Keep 2 into 1 or have a true dual with Rinehart exhaust? Which will increase performance and create a deeper sound?

Does any one have a suggestion for a low sounding replacement muffler for a 2005 ElectraGlide?
I'm looking for something that isn't much louder than the stock mufflers.

I have a 2006 Harley Road King and it has stock duals. I want to keep the look of the duals but I want it to be louder. I don't want to wake the neighborhood but I want people to hear me when I'm on the throttle. What kind of pipes or slip-ons would fix both of these? I haven't ever changed pipes before is it something that I can do pretty easy or should i just shell out the money and pay the harley shop to do it?

can you remove the baffles from a stock 1200c-2008?
