What kind of sound can expect on a Harley Davidson Fatboy equipped with Screamin’ Eagle II exhaust?
Just wondering if the Screamin' Eagle has a deep thunderous rumble sound or if it's a more high-pitched popping sound, kind of like a machine gun. Thanks!!!
To flattrack, it's a simple question. if all you have to do is sit on yahoo answers and troll all day, you should consider getting a job and quit mooching off the government. I didn't know how else to describe was I was trying to ask...if that offends you, get over it!
they give it a better "rumble" yet do not make it so loud that people complain, yes if you do not set the air fuel mix up right, you get louder pops on deceleration.
ride safe
it sounds like a fat boy farting
Josh,
With a question like this, you had better stay away from a Harley and consider a moped.

There’s your answer.
Would love to know why I got a thumbs down for posting a link to a youtube video of *wait for it* a Fatboy with Screaming Eagle 2s!
It should be louder, with a more hollow less muffled sound. With the higher pitched popping sound. I have baffled turn outs, they look great and have that deep rumble. They are not as loud as some, but you still know I’m coming.
my dad has got screamin eagles on his 07 soft tail night train and at idle it sounds good and when riding it sounds good and there not too overly loud either they sound espicly good when you get on the throttle. They are a nice rumble if you want a vid I can get you one let me know
Further to Randy’s comment, another factor in popping and burbling is if there is a slight leak in the exhaust it will provide a way for air to get in on the overrun as you decelerate increasing popping and burbling too.
it’ll sound like a stereo,a deep rumble coming in one ear,and your nieghbors yelling in the other..
Rest assured that Harley Davidson spends far more money on their sound and image R&D than they do anything else so I doubt that you’ll be disappointed in it regardless of what it is. By the way, a machine gun really doesn’t resemble any street legal bike exhaust I’ve ever heard. It’s also not a cool sound unless you’re on the giving end of it.
