Probably got held up in customs (NOT everything is manufactured in the US but the bikes are PUT together in the US therefore it is then falls into the category of "American Made")
What did your dealer say the problem was?

What kind of bolts are you talking about? Everywhere I go I can get a part in about 5 minutes.

And on a side note what is this Dogma of which you speak?

It's more about shipping costs. Your part arrives as part of a scheduled delivery.
I'm sure if you offered to pay for FED-EX or some other form of expedite shipping you could get your parts faster.
You could also try another source, catalog? or on line?.

Many Harley Dealerships are not interested in supporting the Buell line, meaning they don't stock parts to the newer bikes.

Even for dealerships that are very good, if you have an older tube framed model, then parts in general are hard to come by if they are Buell specific.

For example, the rear motor mounts in a tube framed Buell are also used in the Dyna model Harley's, therefore the part is easy to get. On the other hand the exhausr bushing is a Buell specific item, and will take a couple of weeks to come in.

If you just need bolts, go to your hardware store and buy Grade 8 steel bolts...and a bottle of blue threadlocker, your bolts should not be rattling out!
